When it comes to large projects, such as when both excessive foundation and framing work is involved, I perform the work with another contractor who has the appropriate skill, license, Bonded experience and insurance as myself. When it comes to these big projects, I feel that a "double accountability", is a better way to go for both me and the homeowner. Explanation: These projects can take 3-4 months, in which many details are involved. Instead of taking it all on my own, I have created a joint venture with a good friend, who is also a contractor and I want to offer homeowners what they can not get from another company which is a "double accountability". If something goes wrong there are 2 licensed and 2 contractors that are directly responsible for that project. I am talking about projects that are over $150,000.00. I think if we can put it out in a way that gives the homeowner the extra safety , it may be a good factor to show when the consideration of hire comes up.
